Starr was prescribed Digitek to treat an irregular heartbeat. The lawsuit alleges that Starr died on May 5 shortly after being administered the defective medication. Numerous other lawsuits have surfaced throughout the country alleging similar reactions to the improperly manufactured medication.

In the six-count suit, Myers claims Starr suffered tremendous pain, suffering and mental anguish prior to her death. Myers seeks compensation, medical expenses and funeral expenses for Starr's estate.
