Trasylol Linked to Over 20,000 Deaths
Trasylol Linked to DeathA recent study found that patients that received Bayer's Trasylol during heart surgery were significantly more likely to die within the next decade. Another study of 78,000 patients, originally withheld by Bayer, found a 78 percent increased risk of death within a week following the surgery.

Even More Evidence Mounts Against Avandia

More Trouble for AvandiaToday an article published in the Journal of the American Medical Association cites a new study out of Canada that suggests a significantly elevated risk of heart attack in patients treated by Avandia.

The study was a retrospective analysis of medical records of over 159,000 patients age 65 and older. GlaxoSmithKline claims that the study is flawed and maintains that Avandia is safe.
