Mattel Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have announced a recall of more than 9 million toys and play sets...
in the U.S., because of the injury and health risks found in these products. Of particular concern are toys made with lead paint, which, if ingested by children is toxic. Also, certain toys containing small magnets have been recalled because of the ability for children to swallow the magnets. If eaten, the magnets can bond together in the stomach and cause serious injury or death. Consumers should immediately take any recalled toys away from children.
