Kaitlin Clark was born in Placerville, California, once the
third-largest city in California at the time it was established along
the Southern Pacific Railroad during the California Gold Rush. Ms. Clark
lived in Sacramento, California until 1991, at which time she moved
Tulsa, Oklahoma, despite being a fourth-generation Californian. As the
daughter of an airline pilot, Ms. Clark again relocated with her family
in 1998 to southeastern Michigan. Ms. Clark received a Bachelor of
Science degree in Public Law and Government with summa cum laude honors
from Eastern Michigan University in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from
Michigan State University College of Law in 2006. While a student at
Michigan State College of Law, Ms. Clark participated in numerous
distinguishing activities including Moot Court, the Student Bar
Association, as well as several competitions in negotiation, mediation,
and arbitration. She also authored a thesis of her independent study of
arbitration clauses in the realm of class action lawsuits, focusing
primarily on the increasing trend of "No Class Action Arbitration
Clauses" in standard form contracts and the defenses to such clauses.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Clark relocated to the State of
Texas to begin her career as a member of the Houston legal community. At
Reich and Binstock, Ms. Clark works primarily with Michael Howell on
toxic and environmental tort actions, class actions, and mass actions.
