Were Among Us Safety Features Enough?

Among Us Lawsuit Update: 2026
Key points:
- No dedicated Among Us MDL exists yet. As of mid-2026, there is no consolidated multidistrict litigation naming InnerSloth specifically. Claims are being filed individually, typically as part of the broader online-platform exploitation litigation.
- The central legal theory has gained traction in court. In December 2025, the JPML centralized federal child sexual exploitation cases into MDL No. 3166 in the Northern District of California, with plaintiffs alleging adults used gaming to groom minors and persuade them to move communications to secondary apps.
- Among Us addiction lawsuits are on a separate track. Those addiction cases are now coordinated mainly in a California proceeding.
- State regulators are adding pressure. The Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Iowa, South Carolina, and Texas Attorneys General have sued Discord or opened investigations over safety failures.
