Anya Fuchs

Associate

Anya Fuchs is a civil litigator with several decades of experience representing injured people and their families in both complex tort and mass tort litigations throughout the State of California. Anya penned multiple successful petitions for coordination now pending in California, including JCCP No. 5363 (In Re: Videogame Addiction Cases) and JCCP No. 5305 (In Re: Future Motion Onewheel Cases), both of which she serves as Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel. In addition to her State court appointments, Anya was appointed by a United States District Court Judge to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Leadership committee for the concurrently pending federal coordinated Onewheel proceeding (MDL 3087).

Anya spent the first 20 years of her professional career working with and for some of California’s most prominent plaintiff’s firms—Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood, PLC; Paul & Hanley LLP; Maune, Raichle, Hartley French & Mudd, LLC; Gold Law Firm; Law Offices of Anthony Vieira; Weitz & Luxenberg; The Farrise Firm, among others.

Anya has earned a reputation as a highly skilled pre-trial, trial and appellate writing attorney and is devoted to high profile complex product and personal liability, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death cases. She takes pride in being part of the profoundly important impact legal writing has within this context, and her writing efforts have produced a phenomenally successful body of work, with her appellate practice resulting in numerous published opinions which continue to serve the interests of injured people.

Anya graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1997 from which she earned several Bachelor of Arts; she graduated cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2001. In 2017, Anya returned to her alma mater as an Adjunct Professor teaching Legal Researching and Writing to first year law students. She continues to regularly lecture several times per year on the topic of Appellate Advocacy.

Anya was born and raised in Berkeley, California and comes from a long line of academics, educators, and writers. She currently lives in Oakland with her son and husband; if she is not spending time with her family, at the law library, or writing, she is likely taking her daily bike ride across the Bay Bridge.
